On measures to counteract and prevent coronavirus infection at the Plant

Since March 12, in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Ukraine, all enterprises participating in the Ukroboronprom state concern switched to a special mode of operation: the number of employees at the workplace was minimized, disinfection and hygiene measures were strengthened, a mandatory mask mode of operation, canteens were introduced and cafes at enterprises are temporarily closed, etc. Operational headquarters were created at all enterprises of the Concern to counter possible cases of coronavirus, and special response protocols were developed.

Unfortunately, despite all the preventive measures implemented, 35 cases of the disease among the employees of our company have been confirmed and localized. In most of them, the disease is asymptomatic and they are being treated on an outpatient basis, 8 of our colleagues have been hospitalized (currently 3 of them are already at home). The health of all is satisfactory. We keep constant control with them and wish everyone a speedy recovery!

The first cases of the disease among plant workers were discovered in mid-May. After the news about the outbreak in one of the villages of Kamenetz-Podolsky district, the plant management proactively sent an employee to undergo PCR testing, who lived in this village. Despite the absence of any symptoms of the disease, the test for COVID-19 was positive. After this incident, we began mass testing of employees at the expense of the enterprise. 107 workers have already been tested, in most of them (62) the results are negative. Testing continues.

Since May 18, the staff of the enterprise has been in quarantine, a complete disinfection of all premises of the enterprise has been carried out, personal protective equipment, disinfectants have been purchased. The plant will begin to gradually restore its work after retesting employees at the end of a two-week quarantine.
