The fiery tests with the involvement of PMP-1 and PMP-2 main guns on the combat modules “Shkval” and “Stilet” for the IFV.

The combat modules “Shkval” and “Stilet” passed the comparative factory tests at one of the military firing ranges in Zhytomyr region.

These modules are intended for arming of the backfitted IFV engineered in the State Enterprise “Zhytomyr Armored Factory” which is a part of the SE “Ukroboronprom”.

During the testing the experts analyzed the accuracy, the speed and the efficiency of each weapons unit to be able to choose the best parameters for the combat module for the further use on the IFV.

Noted that the combat module “Shkval” is equipped with the 30 mm main gun PMP-1, an automatic grenade launcher, a 7.62 mm machine gun and also guided missile munitions, which are engineered to destruct enemy armor at a distance of up to 5 km. The combat module “Stilet” is equipped with the main gun PMP-2, reinforced armor and the similar integrated ordnance packing. The digital sighting system OTS-20.04-01is responsible for the accuracy of “Shkval”, Stilet-complex Track-2-01, both are equipped with a laser ranger and an infrared thermal imaging camera, however, they use different algorithms to control fire.

The main guns PMP-1 and PMP-2, which are produced by Precision Mechanics Plant, demonstrated their high technical qualities during the tests, thereby confirming the reliability of the equipment manufactured by our enterprise.
